VoPay
Overview
VoPay is a data-driven payment transformation company offering near real-time B2B payment solutions. As part of the design team, my role was to enhance the usability and visual consistency of VoPay’s digital presence across web, mobile, and social platforms. The objective was to align their user experience with their positioning as a high-knowledge, visionary fintech brand.
The Brief
Modernize VoPay’s web and mobile UI to:
1. Improve user experience across key digital touchpoints
2. Enhance clarity and accessibility for financial and developer audiences
3. Translate complex financial concepts into digestible, user-friendly visuals
4. Elevate brand visibility through consistent and thoughtful visual storytelling
My Role
I was responsible for:
1. Designing and refining web and mobile interfaces to optimize navigation and clarity
2. Refreshing the visual identity applied to marketing and content assets
3. Developing visual guidelines and assets for social media and blog content
4. Collaborating closely with content and development teams to ensure consistency across product and brand touchpoints
Design Approach
The brand's essence—professional, innovative, and knowledge-driven—guided all design decisions. The updated visual system included:
- Clean sans-serif typography for a modern, trustworthy tone
- A monochrome base palette with strategic pops of brand purple and yellow to draw attention to key actions or insights
- Simple isometric illustrations and iconography to demystify abstract fintech concepts
- High use of white space to reduce visual fatigue and maintain a clean, data-focused aesthetic
UI/UX Focus
For the website and app:
- I structured pages around a clear information hierarchy, using font weights, color differentiation, and content grouping
- Responsive layouts were prioritized to maintain a seamless experience across devices
- The updated designs aimed to create intuitive pathways for enterprise users and developers to explore product offerings, technical documentation, and support
Outcome
The design updates contributed to an improved user experience, with clearer content pathways and a more cohesive visual identity across platforms. VoPay’s updated look and feel positioned the company as a more mature, modern fintech brand ready for growth. Internal feedback was positive, and the updated assets helped streamline marketing communications across multiple touchpoints from 2022 onward.
